I am looking for the right candidate to join us. Someone that is passionate about landscaping and restoring landscapes. Someone with a background in farming or permaculture. We are not your typical landscaping company. We specialize in landscaping with native, drought tolerant and edible plants. We restore the landscapes we work with. If you have a permaculture certification or have taken any landscape design classes or native plant classes etc you are ahead of the pack.
The right candidate will be motivated to learn and grow and stick around to help us grow and spread the message. No drugs, non-smoking, CAN SHOW UP ON TIME and work a full day.
The work is hard. We work in the rain, in the heat, lifting heavy stuff, moving soil and digging holes all day. Ability to lift 75-100lbs is very helpful.
I am looking for someone that can listen, learn and follow directions. Someone that pays attention to detail but also works efficiently.
I will teach you what you do not know. Skills that get you more irrigation, pavers, concrete, ability to identify plants, ability to adapt with each new job and learn the skills needed to complete the job.
You must have YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION to get to job sites on time. You must have a phone with the ability to send and receive text messages and photos.
Note, we do not work full time. We typically work one job at a time until it is complete which may be a day, it may be weeks. Once that job is complete there is typically a break of a couple days to a couple of weeks. If you can not handle that do not apply.
Pay is dependent on your past experiences and skills. Starting wage is $18 for unskilled. After a 90 day trial you can have an assessment for a raise. Position caps at $35 hr. After 6 months you are eligible for 5% commission for referrals.
If you want to be considered. You must provide the following:
2-3 paragraphs about yourself and what you are looking to gain from this job along with your current skill set.
