Hiring a Parcel Delivery Driver - Provide your own vehicle ( cargo van preferred)
Overview:
We are seeking reliable delivery drivers to join our team. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods from the warehouse to customers residence or business.
Our drivers are home daily - Routes are local to the Sacramento area.
All stops must be delivered to customers timely and in professional matter.
Qualifications:
Pass a safety check( background check, valid drivers license, valid Social Security card)
Proficient use of cell phone for routing and customer delivery information.
Able to get in and out of van and walk up and down stairs through your shift.
Follow all company, applicable traffic laws and other regulatory requirements.
Proof of vehicle registration.
Duties:
Load and unload cargo following specific handling procedures.
Follow routes in a safe manor.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures and photographs of delivered packages.
Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather and lighting conditions, include load and unload packages to be delivered.
Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation: Lift packages up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
Working cell phone with cellular service and free of damage. (no broken screens or broken cameras, GPS must work)
Car or van with valid insurance, registration, and no mechanical issues.
Understanding of routing apps such as Google maps, Waze, Apple Maps, etc.
Must be able to read and write in English
Shift availability:
Day Shift (Required)
Work Location: In person/on route
Expectations:
Drivers will arrive at 9:00am to scan and load their vehicle. Vehicle must be clean and ready to work. ( No additional personal items: trash, car seats, misc. clothing, extra tools). Routes are created prior to entering the building. Packages will be grouped together in designated zones and drivers are to scan each item assigned to them. Deliveries are to be placed near the front or back door with proof of delivery. Routes must be completed by the end of the day.
Take-Home Pay:
Average start is $800/ Week.
