Established and growing boutique tax and bookkeeping firm located in El Cajon, CA is seeking a long-term Tax Preparer to join our team. This is a full-time, in-office Tax Professional position. A part-time position is also available during the off season. As we strive for a healthy work/life balance, we offer a great deal of flexibility and freedom with regard to days and hours of work.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has good communication skills, and deep experience working directly with a broad mix of clients including those who have small businesses, rental properties, K-1s, brokerage statements (including RSUs, ESPPs) etc. Candidate should also have experience with S-Corp, Partnership, LLC, and Trust tax return preparation. Candidate should have the ability to work directly with clients answering tax questions, corresponding with the IRS/FTB when necessary, and to research issues as required.
An active PTIN is required however an EA or CPA license is not. Wolters Kluwer Access (software) experience a big plus but not mandatory.
Bookkeeping and payroll experience is helpful but not required.
