We need an Assistant Instructor / Teaching Assistant for our After-School Program here in Scripps Ranch!
This is a part-time position with very regular afternoon hours:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 1:15-5pm;
- Thursdays and occasional extra Minimum Days 11:15am - 5pm.
Wednesdays and Thursdays are required; Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays are available and we would appreciate if you could work those days (but they are not required).
This Teaching Assistant position at JING entails:
- helping out in the JING Kids tumbling and Wushu (kinder kungfu) classes guiding PE activities.
- supervising students doing STEM classes online (keeping them on-task, answering questions about basic math and kids' programming).
- supervising children during their snack- and free-play-time.
- helping with light cleaning and other duties at JING.

Requirements:
- Reliable cell phone.
- Clean Background Check (to be completed by JING HR).
- Clean TB test.
- Can work the specified hours.
- Enjoys working with children.
The JING Kids Chinese After-School Program trains children in the mental, physical, emotional, and linguistic skills needed to succeed in a global market and in an interconnected world.
Knowledge of Chinese Language and Chinese Martial Arts are NOT required!
