We are a growing family in Del Mar seeking a reliable and meticulous housekeeper who can also provide occasional nanny services. With our second child expected in January, our need for a supportive and organized individual to maintain our 4-bedroom home is greater than ever. The role is primarily focused on cleaning, with child-watching duties when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping (Primary Focus):
Daily Tasks:
Make all beds and manage bedding.
Handle dishes, including washing and unloading the dishwasher.
Tidy up and wipe down all surfaces including kitchen counters and dining tables.
Sweep floors in high-traffic areas, particularly the kitchen and bathrooms.
Manage household trash and recycling.
Weekly Tasks:
Vacuum all carpets and rugs.
Mop hard floors in the kitchen, bathrooms, and entryways.
Dust all accessible surfaces, including baseboards, furniture, and shelves.
Thoroughly clean bathrooms—scrub toilets, showers, and sinks.
Deep clean kitchen appliances, focusing on the microwave, stovetop, and externals of the refrigerator and oven.
Laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothes and linens.
Change bed linens.
Monthly Tasks:
Clean interior windows and any glass surfaces.
Deep clean and organize the refrigerator and pantry.
Clean the oven interior and check for any necessary maintenance.
Remove cobwebs from ceilings and corners.
Clean vents and exhaust fans to ensure air quality.
Nanny Responsibilities:
Occasional care for our toddler and newborn starting January, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Engage in light, age-appropriate activities with our children when necessary.
Details:
Location: Del Mar, CA
Hours: This is a full-time position. We are flexible with the exact schedule but anticipate needing support for approximately 30-40 hours per week depending on willness to do tasks and errands. Ideally M-W-F but open to more days and flexibility. 25-30 an hour depending on ability and openness to do more tasks.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
Requirements:
Proven experience in housekeeping with references.
Experience in childcare, with a focus on infants and toddlers preferred.
A self-starter who is efficient and highly organized.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Must be comfortable with a background check.
