We are a Construction Management firm seeking a full-time Draftsman/Designer to join our fast-growing team! We specialize in collaborating with HOAs and multi-family communities to inspect existing structures, develop state mandated conditions reports, and develop repair scopes of work. We are a team that thinks outside the box, enjoys providing solutions to our client’s unique problems, and looking for someone to make a positive impact in architecture and construction management.
Responsibilities:
-Perform inspections and site visits, develop repair recommendation reports, prepare scopes for repair and/or design documents for existing structures. Reviews and interprets relevant building codes for issues pertaining to the scope of work.
-Communicate regularly and directly with a variety of clients to set up site visits and deliverables. Attend client meetings to present findings, recommendations, and project statuses.
-Produce project reports to determine the most likely cause and scope of distress and failures to buildings and components.
-Manage concurrent projects with varying sizes, scopes, clients types, and durations and meet project deadlines.
-Responsibilities include all phases of design documentation through construction administration, project management, client contact, and report development.
-Effectively demonstrate technical detailing and problem solving skills.
-Performs additional duties as assigned.
Travel within California is required for this position.
Requirements:
At least two years’ experience in architecture
Proficient in AutoCAD current releases
Driver’s License
Excellent work ethic
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office
Strong leadership qualities
Strong negotiation skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Availability to work a typical 40 hour work week (8am-5pm)

Use of Photoshop, BIM, Sketch-up, and/or similar software (preferred, not required)
Ability to coordinate with both in-house and outside team members
