We are currently seeking a Land Survey CAD Technician with a minimum of one (1) year of Civil 3D experience with field experience a plus. This position is responsible for developing survey construction stakeout and other survey related drawings in an AutoCAD/CIVIL3D platform, receiving field data and transforming them into working drawings, existing conditions base sheets and finished drawings. The Survey CAD Technician will work under the direction of a Project Surveyor. The successful candidate will have a desire to work in a productive team environment, have effective oral and written communication skill, and professional appearance and demeanor. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for understanding and completing drawings in accordance with supervisor direction and industry survey standards.
Creating a preliminary and/or final sketch of proposed drawings, using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment.
Modifying drawings as directed by supervisor.
Work closely with other surveyors and engineers to insure a coordinated product.
Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary.
Candidate must have at least one (1) year experience preferred in civil engineering design or surveying and the following skills:
Advanced knowledge of AUTOCAD
Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD/CIVIL3D
Experience with drawing setup and scale usage
Experience dimensioning, labeling, and plotting
Experience in processing field data files
Strong work ethic
