General Purpose of Position
Omega Land Surveying is looking for an experienced and reliable individual to work on one of our Survey Field Crews as a Crew Chief or Rodman. Omega Land Surveying works in partnership with Omega Engineering Consultants on projects in residential and commercial land development throughout Southern California.
Specific Tasks
To assist with the following tasks which are to be performed under the direction and supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor:
Office
Processing data from field surveys
Preparing calculations for construction staking duties
Field
Responsibilities leading or assisting on a one-man or two-man survey crew while performing boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys
Operating a robotic total-station, GNSS receivers, data collector, and other related survey equipment
Requirements
Experienced using Data Collection Software for use with a Robotic Total Station and GNSS Receivers
Should be familiar with basic Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel
Hard worker with no reservations about physical aspects of the field work balanced with a professional attitude on the job site and in the office
Responsible and on-time attitude and does not mind working overtime
A current, valid California Class C driver’s license
Must be located in San Diego
If intent to relocate to San Diego – Timeline should be provided
