Position: Sketchup Drafter
We are looking for someone to assist in the CAD 3D modeling and drafting of these trade show displays. You will do some design, but it is primarily engineering fairly complex designs into build plans (using Sketchup), then drafting those plans (using Layout) for the in-house builders. A designed rendering will be given to you to detail all of the dimensions, materials, construction details, cabinet plans, electrical, graphic placement, assembly order, CNC file preparation, etc. It is important to note this is mostly a modeling/drafting position, but we also foresee this individual assisting the fabrication team on the shop floor when necessary.

Requirements:
Sketchup experience is a requirement (min. 1 year of professional experience).
o Please include work examples of projects you have done (.skp files)
Must be very detail oriented
Layout experience is not a requirement but very helpful.
Adobe Illustrator experience is not a requirement but very helpful
Engineering degree is not a requirement
Architecture degree is not a requirement but very helpful
CNC coding/operation experience is very helpful
Must be able to work closely with a senior designer to be trained and collaborate on projects.
Construction, woodworking, or furniture making experience is very helpful.
Must be open to fabricating in the shop using your hands occasionally
Standard understanding of basic shop tools (drills, drivers, saws, etc)
Must be able to read shop prints
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs occasionally throughout the day
Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others
Have attention to detail
Be a team player
Have a positive attitude and enjoy your craft!
