O'Day Consultants, a civil engineering and land surveying firm, is seeking a Survey Manager to lead their in-house Survey Department.
Requirements
The Survey Manager candidate should have:
A minimum of 10 years combined experience as a Party Chief and Manager
Strong knowledge of GPS
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D
Knowledge of Trimble Business CTR software
Working knowledge of Survey Pro and Trimble Access software
LSIT required; LS preferred
The qualified candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Fill in as a party chief on occasion
Schedule and coordinate between client, contractor, and engineers
Calculate boundaries
Prepare construction calculations
Set schedules for all survey crews
Supervise the maintenance of company vehicles
Supervise the maintenance and purchase of survey instruments and equipment
Prepare proposal scopes and fees
Interact daily with engineering Project Managers
Highly valued skills include:
Knowledge of MicroStation Open Roads Designer
Ability to draft topographic surveys, maps, and related documents
