What We're Looking For:
We are looking for passionate, hard-working individuals who enjoy meeting and connecting with people. Customer service skills are our main focus when looking for potential candidates. Olive Cafe is very team oriented, so we are looking for someone who loves working together with others and is comfortable fulfilling different roles, such as taking orders, ringing in customers, making drinks, running food, bussing tables, cleaning, etc Previous experience in hospitality required, as well as previous knowledge/barista skills. We rely on social media to get our business seen all around, therefore, you must be willing to take on learning our ways and be willing to post if we ask you too. No fancy training needed, personal experience is just fine.
Requirements:
-Experienced barista with basic skills in latte art
-Full availability and able to work 8 hour shifts
-Availability to work holidays and weekends
-Responsibilities include:
-Be reliable and punctual
-Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and/or holidays
-Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift. More specifically, learning different stations throughout the cafe including register, barista, expo, running, etc.
-Ability to learn quickly
-Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Ability to build relationships
-Demonstrates that customers come first by serving them with a sense of urgency.
-Provides consistent quality in the preparation of drinks and brewing of coffee and tea.
-Maintains a clean and well-stocked store.
-Carry a friendly, energetic, personable demeanor and have a passion for great customer service, with a customer-first mentality.
-Be able to work quickly, embrace and learn new information, multi-task and incorporate feedback into personal performance.
-Hours range from 6:30am to 3:30pm. Shifts are 8 hours.
-Pay is hourly plus tips (additional $5-10 per hour)
-Total open availability REQUIRED including weekends and holidays - must be able to work during holidays and summer season.
-Barista/coffee experience REQUIRED.
-Looking for LONG TERM employment.
Olive Café is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
