The Casino Inn Bar & Grill is seeking someone to join our team and provide professional leadership to our kitchen operation! This position is full-time with salary and commission incentives.
We are looking for strong culinary capabilities drawn from extensive cooking experience. You must have the ability to delegate job tasks to our Heart of the House (HOH) staff. We are a family here, you must be able to draw upon your experience to cover roles when needed and to effectively coach the HOH staff.
You are responsible for upholding culinary standards as defined by management, and planning and directing food preparation and presentation in the kitchen according to approved specifications. This will involve supervising the entire HOH staff, training the HOH staff to improve their skills and work as a team, as well as keeping an eye out for problems that arise in the kitchen and seizing control of a situation at a moment’s notice.
You may also assist in menu development and recipe adjustment in coordination with management. Oversee food ordering, inventory management, and cost control measures to optimize food costs and minimize waste. The overall goal is to monitor, support and improve kitchen operations to consistently produce excellent quality food and meet business objectives.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Minimum 3-years full-service in a high-volume setting
Professional and proficient verbal and written communication skills
Spanish language proficiency a plus
ServSafe Certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year plus commission based on sales.
Shift: 8 hours. Ability to work extended hours a plus
