We are seeking a French Dessert and Cake Baker to join the team at Versailles Cafe and Pastries! In this role, you will prepare a variety french desserts, tarts, and decorate cakes. You will be responsible for opening the bakery in the morning and prepping for the day ahead. The ideal candidate has previous bakery experience and a passion for delighting customers with taste and beauty. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Open the bakery and prepare for the day ahead
- Produce a variety of french desserts, cakes, tarts, and pastries every day
- Clean and sanitize equipment and baking areas
- Prepare custom orders
- Track, maintain, and order inventory as necessary
Qualifications & Characteristics:
- Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is strongly preferred, but not required
- A passion for production with consistency and rigor
- Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Team player
- Available for early morning shifts and able to work weekends
