We’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead a team of 10 at a growing artisan bakery/cafe in San Diego. This is for someone who thrives in balancing leadership, organization, and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
-Manage and lead a team of 10 staff members across front- and back-of-house
-Oversee daily production, service, and scheduling
-Implement and maintain SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency
-Assist with ordering, vendor coordination, and inventory management
-Work alongside the team in both front- and back-of-house tasks as needed
-Train, mentor, and coach staff to build a strong, motivated team culture
-Collaborate with leadership on menu execution and seasonal offerings
-Maintain food safety and compliance standards
Qualifications:
-2+ years in food & beverage management or supervisory role
-Culinary/Baking background preferred
-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
-Computer literacy (POS, scheduling, spreadsheets; QuickBooks a plus)
-Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred
