Looking to add an experienced pizza chef to the team who has what it takes to be a leader.
Pizza cooks make $25/hr plus an equal share of tips which adds $8-12 per hour so total compensation will be $33-37/hr. I am hoping whoever I hire next will take over for the current team leader by March 2025, at which point you'll make an additional $5/hr so $38-42/hr. If you prove your worth at managing (while also making pizzas) I'm not afraid to throw in a % of the profits as well.
I want someone super competent who can do it all and won't need me to babysit. If you can do that this will be the best job you've ever had. Ideally looking for someone with experience stretching by hand and launching from a wooden peel but if you have good touch and athleticism I'm willing to teach as well.
As far as difficulty goes, our dough is about as unforgiving as it gets, and we only do 18 inch pizzas, so check your ego at the door, this will not be an easy transition. Be humble, ask questions, be open to new practices.
Also you'll be interacting with customers so you have to look presentable and be able to handle customer service with a positive attitude.
We are a really tight team and we treat each other and our customers with respect. I can't handle people who don't listen, show up late, aren't willing to work hard, think their way is always better (your way might be better, prove it to me and we'll make the change).
I pay more because I want the best but I still treat my employees very fairly. I rarely refuse a request or deny a favor and all I ask for in return is that you care about your work.
If you're interested, shoot me a message, please include your work history and a small paragraph that describes your personality and communication type. Try to differentiate yourself, generic applications often get overlooked.
Thanks for reading and good luck y'all!
