Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Deli General Associate. This role will involve assisting with daily deli operations, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, slicing, and packaging of deli products.
Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring customers’ needs are met promptly and professionally.
Maintain a clean and organized deli counter, ensuring products are properly displayed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, especially with regard to food handling and hygiene.
Operate deli equipment, such as slicers and scales, with attention to safety.
Support the team in keeping the deli area clean and sanitized, following cleaning schedules.
Help stock and restock deli products as needed.
Handle customer transactions and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
Previous deli or food service experience preferred but not required.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Adhere to all hygiene and cleanliness standards related to food preparation.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Appearance & Hygiene Standards:
Clean and professional appearance is required at all times.
Personal hygiene is a top priority due to the nature of deli work; must maintain a neat, well-groomed look.
Uniform, including gloves and hairnet, must be worn as required to comply with food safety regulations.
Regular hand washing and sanitizing throughout the workday.
Schedule:
Part-time, flexible hours (shifts may include evenings and weekends).
