Operations Coordinator

Harvest Kitchen, established in 2015, is a successful organic event catering company based in Vista (near San Marcos) in need of a Full-Time Operations Coordinator.

The main purpose of the Operations Coordinator at HK is to support both FOH and BOH operations.

This position ensures that every event has exactly what they need, and all equipment is clean and organized and put away in an organized manner, reporting to the Director of Sales & Service.

This is a physical position that requires lifting of heavy equipment, working onsite at Harvest Kitchen Headquarters in Vista (non-remote).

Required Skills:

-Thrive on Organization – SUPER IMPORTANT, must love keeping things organized, clean and attention to detail is a must.

-Eye for design

-Ability to work autonomously

-Computer skills, email, Microsoft office, and use of web based applications

RESPONSIBILITIES

FOH OPS

-Attend & help lead events onsite, design catering displays and setup

-Prepare pack list & pack equipment for events based on BEO (job sheet)

-Manage rental & company vans

-Organize storage of catering equipment & disposables

-Inventory of dishware and serviceware

BOH OPS

-Manage & schedule dishwasher & cleaning service, ensuring entire suite and vehicles are spotless

-Assist in packing, loading van for events

-Maintain various kit boxes

-Deliver drops for productions/corporate events (as needed)

The job will be typically 8am – 4pm (ish) Tuesday - Saturday, with the following schedule.

TUE re-organize equipment from events, attend team meeting

WED organizing equipment, building pack lists, office work, etc.

THU stage equipment for events, office work, etc.

FRI stage equipment for events, office work, etc.

SAT load BOH / FOH vans, clean up after everyone leaves

However, flexibility is expected as every week is different at HK.

BENEFITS:

After 1 year of employment, you will receive 40 hours of PTO and be eligible for medical Insurance

PAY:

$23-25/hr plus % of tip pool

Must have a positive attitude, love organizing and always looking for ways to improve the Harvest Kitchen experience for both clients and staff. Great for someone who would like to learn more about catering events.
