Retail Support Staff: PT Position +/- 25 Hrs/Wk
General Expectations: Primary role is to promote sales and ensure positive customer experiences. Main daily
tasks include customer service/sales support, processing orders, deliveries, stocking shelves, and shipping and receiving
wine. Individuals must possess strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills to multitask on a daily
basis. Open to feedback, committed to continuous improvement and passionate about their quality of work. Work as a
team player to efficiently complete job tasks and have a proactive approach to the position.
Job Responsibilities
Customer service and sales:
Promotes sales by assisting customers with suggestions and recommendations of wine
Ringing up customer transactions on the Point of Sale
Answering phones and responding to customer emails
Wine delivery services.
Safe driver, able to drive and navigate locally.
Maintain store appearance, supplies and related inventory needs.
Stocking and accurately tagging wine/liquor and accessories.
Daily and Weekly UPS Shipping.
Responsible for:
Inventory audits
Monthly Tracking of Store Inventory, reporting discrepancies to manager
Handling and stocking activities
Fulfilling online orders
Assisting with event setup and cleanup
Qualifications:
Education: College Degree preferred Licenses: Driver's License
Must be 21 years of age; Must have a valid driver’s license under the laws of the State of California, acceptable
motor vehicle record, proof of insurance, and a satisfactory running vehicle.
Specialized Work Experience: Prior retail/customer service experience required. Knowledge of the wine
products & wine industry required.
Other: Detail oriented. Strong communication skills. Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook,
POS. Ability to absorb new processes and adapt quickly to change. Multi-tasking skills.
Organized work habits. Proactive mentality.
Physical Requirements: Standing, bending, twisting and/or stooping on a regular basis. Lift 25-50 lbs. and be able
to use retail-type ladders. Reaching and/or lifting overhead, grasping/grabbing with hands on a regular basis.s.
