Community Facilitator for People with Intellectual Challenges in Independent Living

$19.00 hour plus $1 for gas (fixed rate)
The qualified candidate has the ability to give community-based instruction, with the ability to coach a person with an intellectual disability in managing a healthy lifestyle, cooking, cleaning, keeping a budget, managing one's health, as well as any other skills needed for a person to live independently in the community. You can make a difference in people's lives, by guiding them to live independently.
Other qualifications include:
A belief that all adults have the right and ability to live in the community.
A commitment to the agency’s basic vision, mission and values as they are to be actualized in the lives of the adults we support.
The ability to determine when to report an incident to management.
The belief that guiding a person to do a task themself teaches the person more than doing it for them.
Self-motivated and professional.
Ability to pass a background check.
California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
Reliable transportation.
Willingness to take a drug test
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster, willingness to still wear a mask when needed.
High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Valid CPR and First Aid training or willingness to pursue certification.
A willingness to pursue training and certification deemed necessary based on the needs of the individual(s) supported.
Training, support and monitoring of the individuals supported in the community and home settings.
Completion of required paperwork, i.e., progress notes, time sheets, etc.
Develop and maintain a Google calendar online.
Implementation of the individual’s goals.
Schedule, attend, participate in meetings.
Attend and participate in in-service training.
Submit required verifications for employment.
