Full Job Description:

New private pediatric dentistry practice is seeking a full time dental billing and treatment coordinator in Ramona, CA.

Work Hours: Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm

Compensation starting at $35 an hour based on experience.

We are a brand new, high-end pediatric dentistry office striving to provide a kind, friendly environment for patients and employees and to build long-term relationships in the community. We are seeking an experienced dental treatment coordinator to join our team. Candidate must be able to provide outstanding customer service to our patients. Previous experience with Eaglesoft is preferred.

Computer software Knowledge

Previous experience with Eaglesoft preferred

Insurance

Well versed in dental insurance plans

Comfortable with explaining dental benefit plans to patients

Verification and coordination of benefits

Insurance pre-authorization

Insurance aging and appeals

Knowledge of fee schedules, copays, maximums, deductibles

Accounting and Financial Arrangements

Knowledge of collection practices

Adept at discussing money with patients

Thorough knowledge of posting payments and balancing day’s receipts

Can review monthly production statistics and prepare monthly reports

Experience with preparing, prioritizing and presenting treatment plans to patients

Knowledge of 3rd party financing and ability to present all financial options to the patient

Good general knowledge of dental terms and can answer patient questions in layman terms

Good with logging notes and patient follow up on unscheduled treatments

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Ability to project a positive, warm and professional image in person and on the phone

Empathetic with the patient’s needs

Good at developing long term professional relationships with patients

Outgoing personality

Skilled at asking patients for feedback regarding their experience

Team player and gets along well with fellow team members
