VCC is an equal opportunity employer.Responsibilities Lead Responsibilities Ensure staff are providing excellent customer serviceProvide oversight of front desk staff, be a resource to assist with PSR duties and questionsResponsible for checking patients in for appointments, verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, identifying and communicating to the patient needed clinical servicesFacilitate the flow of patients from the front to the back office, ensuring patients are in exam room on a timely basisShow support to the staff and ensure the following is being completedEnsure all PSR’s are using Well 100% of the timeEnsure all PSR’s are running Pointcare for ALL SFS patients 100% of the time, and referring to CECEnsure all PSR’s are jockeying the schedulesEnsure department is printing gaps in care reports 100% of the time for all patientsMonitor patient schedules and ensure that all appointments slots are bookedDecrease the number of voided encountersFollowing up and scheduling of no shows, cancellations appointments per policyPCP continuity-schedule to improveCompletion of chart prep and collecting accurate demographic informationGreet and respond to limited inquiries from patients and customers in a professional manner. Perform a variety of clerical functions.Greet patients in-person and via telephoneVerify insurance eligibility and copy insurance cardsPerform financial and eligibility screening for clinic programsPrint daily schedule and confirm next day’s appointmentsComplete appropriate paperwork as needed for patients: school excuses, Head Start forms, etc.Make follow-up appointments for referrals from other sitesCall, reschedule and mail letters to all N/S patientsResponsible for patients checking in through completing encounters, personal records forms, etc. QualificationsMinimum High school graduate or equivalent Minimum three years’ medical/dental office experience Minimum one year experience in insurance billing in a medical/dental setting Bilingual English/Spanish PreferredMinimum one year supervisory or lead experienceRequired Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExperience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Dental Records systems, NextGen preferredAbility to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional mannerExcellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfactionAbility to type minimum 35 WPMPreferred Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExperience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferredExperience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products, business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilitiesPay Range$23.00 - $25.00 DOEPI250229156 Apply
