Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will play a vital role in managing various human resources functions within our organization. You will be responsible for providing all administrative and professional components of HR to both employees and management, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and contributing to the overall success of the HR department.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day HR support: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, addressing their HR-related inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.

Employee relations: Build positive employee relations by promoting effective communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment. Provide guidance on employee performance issues and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.

Recruitment and onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, create job descriptions, and facilitate the recruitment process. Conduct interviews, screen candidates, and assist in making hiring decisions. Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

HR policies and compliance: Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations, and ensure company compliance. Assist in conducting internal audits and investigations as required.

Benefits and compensation: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits. Support compensation activities such as salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and performance appraisal processes.

Training and development: Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs, develop training programs, and facilitate employee development initiatives. Assist in delivering training sessions and workshops as needed.

HR data management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, and personnel files. Generate HR reports and analyze data to identify trends, metrics, and areas for improvement. Ensure confidentiality and data privacy in handling sensitive HR information.

HR projects: Participate in various HR projects. Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring successful completion within specified timelines.

Employee engagement: Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Collaborate with management to organize employee events, recognition programs, and other activities to foster a positive work culture.

Performs payroll duties

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.

In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

Strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition.

Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Must be a US Citizen per ITAR
