Position Summary
The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform electrical maintenance tasks such as fixing or replacing faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers. They may also inspect and diagnose problems with electrical systems and perform repairs such as rewiring circuits or replacing parts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Install residential type smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Install/replace GFCI outlets.
Identify defective wiring and run new wires in existing conduits.
Apply LOTO, test and identify life 208/460 v circuits. When Nesc.
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the
work.

Qualification Requirements
Education and/or Experience
EDUCATION: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent amounts of technical training and experience.
EXPERIENCE: 1-5 years maintenance electrician experience.
Possess or ability to obtain arc flash training.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid driver’s license is required.
Arc flash training or a bonus.
Communication Skills
Ability to use correct English grammar, spelling, and sentence structure in written and verbal communications. Additional qualifications in this area are:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and coworkers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands

Requires lifting and moving as much as 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and
arms, talk, hear, stand, twist, stoop, reach, squat, and walk. Performing duties may require prolonged periods of
sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping. May also be required to climb ladders and enter confined
spaces.
Electricians may spend long hours outside and in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain.
They may stand for long periods and frequently work on ladders and scaffolds. Electricians risk injury from
electrical shock, falls, and cuts; to avoid injuries, they must follow strict safety procedures.
