Medium-sized law firm seeking an Associate Attorney with 1+ years of litigation experience in the areas of personal injury, employment law, and/or public-entity law for immediate start. Cal. Bar required. We are primarily defense oriented, but also handle some plaintiff work.
The ideal candidate will have experience in taking and defending depositions, conducting written discovery, some trial experience and perhaps some administrative-hearing experience. We believe in employees having a satisfying work/ life balance. This is an "in office" position, although there may be some flexibility to work from home at times. Pay will be commensurate with experience in the range of $110k - $160k The job duties include:
Conducting legal research and analysis on various litigation matters
Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
Preparing and responding to discovery requests
Representing clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
Collaborating with other attorneys in the office and clients to develop case strategies
