QC Inspector / CMM Programmer

Job Summary: The QC Inspector / CMM Programmer will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. This role requires a blend of weld inspection and dimensional expertise, including the ability to train and guide CMM technicians and quality technicians. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in CMM programming and inspection, be proficient in reading blueprints, and be adept with PC-DMIS software.

Key Responsibilities:

Weld Inspection: Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of welds to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

Dimensional Inspections: Perform detailed inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies to verify adherence to blueprints and engineering specifications.

CMM Programming: Develop, edit, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to ensure accurate measurement and reporting of parts as per technical drawings.

Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to CMM technicians and quality technicians on inspection procedures, equipment usage, and compliance documentation.

Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, measurements, and compliance. Prepare detailed reports and documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Equipment Management: Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and proper usage of inspection equipment, ensuring it meets required standards and functions correctly.

Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to guide inspection and programming activities.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CMM Programmer/Inspector in a manufacturing environment.

Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in PC-DMIS software for CMM programming and inspection.

Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.

Documentation Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for creating and managing inspection reports and documentation.

Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues effectively.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for training, documentation, and interaction with team members.

Education: Relevant technical diploma or certification in quality control, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
