Responsibilities
● Able to measure and accurately cut material to length.
● Remove sharp edges from cut pieces.
● Proficient in GMAW, MIG, TIG Steel and Stainless, welding assemblies per drawing or per customer dimensions.
● Must be able to position material to be exact measurements and tack weld using squares or tape measure before welding complete.
● Custom fabricate components as directed by the production foreman (most of what you will be doing is custom fabrication)
● Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
● Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
● Provide meticulous attention to detail and focus on the given task, and produce quality products consistently
● Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
● Follow all company rules and policies
● Follow all safety rules and quality standards
● Uphold all OSHA standards related to welding
Qualification Requirements
● Must be reliable with a strong work ethic
● Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
● Must be able to stand continuously for long periods of time
● Must have your own tools and welding hood!
● Must have reliable transportation!
Education / Experience Requirements
● High School Diploma
● Must be able to read blueprints
● One or two years of MIG welding experience preferred
● Ability to do basic math, and a basic understanding of electricity
● Formal education / certification in welding not required, but a plus!
