Outstanding Mission Valley non-profit company seeks administrative candidate with experience in events and fundraising ideally with a background in managing auctions and raffles. This is a full-time role Monday to Friday with a 9/8/80 work schedule with a start date as soon as possible, and an end date of October 10.
Job Description:
The Resource Development Assistant's role is to provide administrative and event logistical support for the Advancement Team and help improve departmental systems. This position will report to the Associate Director of Resource Development, assist the entire Advancement Team with administrative support, and will be the primary donor CRM administrator and expert, leading donor research efforts, and serve as a key member of the Ground Breaking and Opening team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Systems:
Serve as the donor CRM database administrator, maintaining data integrity, data entry, and reporting.
Utilize donor CRM for gift entry and acknowledgments, and tax letters; ensure delivery of documents to donors.
Manage Mailchimp/RE email systems, cleanup of constituent records
Manage check requests, and monthly reconciliations and report to the VP monthly.
Tech-savvy department expert on all software tools (currently Raiser’s Edge, WorkBoard, and MailChimp - subject to change.)
Support Fund Development Committee: drafting agendas, and scheduling meetings.
Manage bank of thank you letters, and forms for invoices/payment reminders; tailor and send as requested by relationship managers.
Support revenue reconciliation with finance and accounting to ensure proper recording of all gifts.
Fundraising:
Prospect research for prospective and current donors, grantors, and funders, developing briefings for the leadership team and resource development staff.
Department support as needed: gathering attachments, documentation in donor CRM, conducting research.
Events:
Key team member and primary support of groundbreaking and opening celebrations, logistics, invitations, registrations, and the ability to work with all departments.
Lead staff for engagement events. Logistics, communications, sponsorships.
Administrative:
Support Advancement staff with preparing collateral materials, scheduling staffing team and interdepartmental workboard meetings.
Education and Experience:
BA/AA degree or equivalent or 1-2 years experience in non-profit resource development with administrative experience preferred.
Experience/Training with donor CRM databases
Familiar with using OneCause Fundraising Platform
Attention to detail in data entry, composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines. Ability to take initiative in identifying and solving problems.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet search engines.
Able to type 50+ WPM, proficient in grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment in an extremely organized way, and to manage multiple competing tasks and shifting priorities.
