$1,000 First-Year BonusFairfield is looking for an experienced Community Compliance Manager to join their team in San Diego.Job SummaryThe Community Compliance Manager oversees the compliance operations of Leasing Associates and Community Compliance Specialists, ensuring the timely processing and accuracy of files and corrections. This role involves managing communications with monitoring agencies, residents, and Housing Authorities, auditing move-in and recertification files, and ensuring compliance with HUD and affordable housing regulations.Education/CertificatesHigh school diploma or equivalent required.LIHTC or HUD certificationsExperienceMinimum of 3-5 years Tax Credit, Housing Assistance Programs (HAP, Rental Assistance Programs (RAP and/or Section 8 compliance experience1-3 years in on-site property management roleSkills, Knowledge & AbilitiesComplete knowledge and understanding of affordable property managementDetailed understanding of LIHTC and HUD complianceProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsCommunicate effectively and possess strong business writing skillsExperienced in MOR and NSPIRE (REAC) inspectionsYardi, Yardi Affordable or other similar programsEIV system experienceBasic bookkeeping/accounting principle knowledgeEffective organization and time management skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionEssential DutiesSupervise the compliance operations of the Leasing Associates and Community Compliance Specialists to include but not limited to processing of files and corrections in a timely mannerEnsure appropriate workload distribution between the Leasing Associates and Community Compliance SpecialistsHandle inbound and outbound calls and written correspondence to/from monitoring agencies and residents with compliance needsProcess files for move-in or recertificationComplete outstanding corrections as a result of file audit or reviewsEnsure monthly recertification files are completed in a timely fashionAudit move-in and recertification files from Leasing Associates and Community Compliance Specialists to ensure accuracy before uploadingMaintain, prepare and submit required reporting to monitoring agenciesEnsure strong performance on MOR and NSPIRE inspectionsEnsure strong performance on TCAC internal and external inspectionsMaintain and monitor HUD waitlist for accuracy and utilizationSchedule and conduct Intake Interviews with applicants from HUD WaitlistMaintain landlord relationships with Housing Authorities to ensure timely receipt of subsidy payments and resident compliance with programsManage various Affordable Housing projects as neededMaintain EIV coordinator access and validate authorized usersUp to 50% travel may be required if overseeing multiple sitesCompletes company required training by established deadline.Complies with all Fairfield standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state and federal laws.Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned. The First-Year Bonus, less usual deductions, will be divided into two equal payments: the first payment following the completion of 90 days of employment, and the second payment following the completion of 1 year of employment.Fairfield will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act. #LI-CAROLYNEstimated Rate of Pay:$72,000.00 - $80,000.00This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary.
