Mellano Farm Stand is a family farm that operates growing & selling farm produce/flowers as well as hosting weekend family-friendly festivals with music, vendors, and farm-related activities. In addition the farm offers children's classes, week-long summer day camps, and tours/activities for girl scout troops, field trips, etc. We also host a famer's market as well as participate in outside farmer's markets & special events.
We are looking for a manager who not only help manage the Friday farmer's market aspect of our farming activities, but would also organize and manage the seasonal events associated with the farm. It is a combination of customer service, special events, teacher and managing all the moving parts.
Do you love getting your hands dirty in the garden and love sharing that passion with others?
Do you love learning more and sharing that knowledge with others?
Do you love people and want to give them a great experience?
Are you creative and like to come up with ideas for parties, etc.?
Are you comfortable managing a staff of a few people and visiting vendors for special events?
Most importantly can you multi-task and throw on these different hats at different times?
The role is part-time or 3/4 time but hours will vary based on when we are in the busy seasons and host events. But Fridays are required due to the farmer's market and there will be many weekend events. Other hours can be flexible.

Please note this role is outdoors and at a farm location. Thus you must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, lift boxes or crates of 20 pounds, be comfortable working around pollen/dust/bees, and other common things at an outdoor location.
