ROLE
This is a full-time position based at our warehouse in east Carlsbad. Requests for part-time employment considered on case-by-case basis. This person will be an integral part of our small warehouse team, with a primary role of kitting and assembling our bleeding control kits and products, but will also be working within all areas of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and last-mile assembly/kitting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Kitting and assembling bleeding control kits and products
-Daily order processing, packaging, and shipping
-Load, wrap, and strap pallets for outgoing shipments to wholesale customers
-Receive and unload product inventory, often arriving in 40’ shipping containers (weekly on average)
-Count, stock, and organize arriving product inventory
-Light assembly and final-stage manufacturing
-Stickering, labeling, and kitting of various products including AED cabinets, first aid kits, and bleeding control kits
-Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
-Keep warehouse clean and organized daily
-Continually maintain a safe work environment for self and others
-Abide by all company policies and procedures
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate is a reliable, detail oriented, and self-motivated team player. This person must be comfortable standing and working at a kitting station with both efficiency and attention to detail. They must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment, both independently and as part of a team. Finally, they must be able to prioritize, and be comfortable shifting between various tasks and projects based on the days needs and workflow.
MUST
-Must possess valid driver’s license, and have reliable transportation.
-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs using proper body techniques to avoid injury.
DESIRABLE
-Previous kitting experience
-Previous warehouse and shipping experience
-Forklift experience and certification
-Basic understanding of shipping software systems (UPS, FedEx Ship Manager, USPS, etc.)
