Part-time remote HELPDESK:
A long-term San Diego based IT Consulting company who focuses first on providing exception customer experience/service.
Position
We’re seeking a Tier 1 / 2 IT Engineer who is looking for 15-20 hrs of part time work to assist clients primarily using Microsoft-based technologies.
This candidate must possess at least 2.5 - 5 years hands-on, experience serving in similar capacity as an IT Tech/Engineer predominantly
Ideal candidate is familiar and has experience providing user and device level support for a MANAGED SERVICES PROVIDER.
Ideal candidate has worked in technical support within a corporate or academic environment for at least two years.
REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE 2.5-5 Yrs in MSP or similar technical engineer environment
Knowledgeable of various technologies
Excellent troubleshooter - feel free to share toughest IT challenge you faced/solved
Outstanding communication and “soft” skills - working with clients on the PHONE/REMOTE as well as in person.
Knowledgeable of general workstation applications
Knowledge of cloud services
Basic MS Server deployment t and Active Directory exeperience.
Essential server and Network infrastructure and management.
Technical
Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services
Microsoft Office 365 Business Administration
Microsoft Azure
REMOTE SUPPORT and HELPDESK experience a plus
SharePoint
Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems
VPN/remote access technologies
Apple Mac/macOS
LINUX
Cyber Security Compliance Standards
Must pass a background check – required by multiple clients of ours.
MUST have valid Driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance

This opportunity requires the candidate to be able to hit the ground running and work with minimal supervision and deliver RESULTS with minimal on-the-job training.
Candidate must reside in the San Diego area.
Travel with onsite client visits are occasionally required.
The position is often self-directed and requires the candidate to be self-motivated, adaptable, and resourceful as well as a TEAM player.
