The Clinic Assistant at World of Wellness, Healing Care is a full-time, 40 hours per week, role designed for a dynamic, motivated individual eager to engage in a variety of tasks that include sales and marketing, patient care, and clinic operations. We are looking for someone quick on their feet and willing to learn. The Clinic Assistant is integral to the smooth operation of the clinic, ensuring both patient satisfaction and dedicated support for the clinician. This individual must demonstrate strong initiative, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to patient well-being. Compensation includes a starting base pay of $22 per hour, with additional commission opportunities tied to patient acquisition and operation of aesthetic and other medical equipment. Pay will increase based on experience and performance, as well as with cost of living. Military veterans are welcome and strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in sales at any level is a plus, dedication to patient well-being is mandatory.
Sales:
Direct Primary Care: Explaining membership-based practice and helping prospective patients sign up and set up their first appointment. Managing and driving employer-based contracting.
Restorative Care: Generating leads, making calls, setting up events to bring awareness of benefits to prospective patients.
Clinical assistant:
Direct Primary Care: Assisting clinicians with vital signs, patient-questionnaires, exams and procedures.
Restorative Care: Operating Class I and II medical devices under physician supervision.
Office management:
Reception: Answer phones, greet patients, manage paperwork.
Clerical: ordering and maintaining supplies, updating and correcting patient charts, follow up on patient care orders, including interacting with other medical offices. Other tasks as required.
General: Maintaining site cleanliness, equipment safety and ensuring good repair
Clinic workflow (aka “cat herding”): Work with clinicians to ensure on-time operation of the clinic, appointment and work-management. Ensure that clinic rooms are ready for patients, and that clinicians are operating smoothly and focusing on tasks appropriate to their training and experience. Lighten clinician workload wherever possible.
Position requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. from ground to counter height.
Must be able to pass a basic background check.
Must have good communication and comprehension skills.
Must be able to work in a medical office setting during regular business hours Monday through Friday.
Must have driver’s license in good standing.
Must be willing to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities without direct or constant supervision.
Spanish language skills are not required, but heavily encouraged.
Must be personable and capable of courtesy in emotionally challenging situations.
No prior medical experience or training is necessary but must be willing to learn medical-assisting and phlebotomy (blood-drawing) skills.
