McClure Mechanical Systems is looking to add Commercial HVAC Superintendent to our team. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing foremen and field labor of MMS and are expected to know all the activities on each construction site and work in collaboration with the management team and project managers. The Superintendent will also be expected to lead in the recruitment of company field labor needs.
Essential Job Functions and Tasks:
Manage the team of workers including foremen on each jobsite to ensure the planned tasks for subcontractors and field crews are completed on time. Supervise morning rollout procedures that plan each day’s work with objectives and timelines in mind for progress updates. Each day the Superintendent will have a completed work list that is reviewed after the superintendent's report. Collaborating with foreman to oversee the updating of schedules each week. Oversee foreman and subcontractors kick off meeting agenda. Confirming with foreman that subs are lined up in advance. Assist foreman as needed with subcontractor issues. Collaborate with foreman on the drafting of RFI’s and the resolution of issues affecting construction. Guide the process in best practices for layout items with the goal being that scope is properly coordinated as the project is moving through its stages, avoiding coordination rework. Maintain quality control of staff and subcontractor work to ensure it meets MMS general levels of quality, the requirements of contract documents, and the owner’s expectations. Spot-check job sites to ensure the foeman are keeping their sites tidy and secure from public access. Review the daily logs at the end of the day that encompasses crew hours, materials bought, subs onsite, and owner interactions documented. Ensure that the team is tracking the costs of changes to work in enough detail so that costs can be accurately recovered. Ensure that Foreman are maintaining jobsite document control, RFI posting, job safety meetings, etc, Responsible for the overall allocation of the MMS field labor force
Qualifications
5+ years of Superintendent leadership experience
Procore experience
Must be a good communicator both written and verbal.
Highly organized and detail oriented
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
