Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain the physical structure of our hotel using hand tools and power tools. The ideal candidate will have experience with minor and routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and HVAC functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding areas, performing minor and routine maintenance tasks.
Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy and keep records of completed tasks.
Program phone equipment as needed.
Observe equipment and utility meter readings daily.
Stay accessible to the Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
Learn and follow emergency procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
Understand and use specifications.
Work to precise measurements.
Use arithmetic to measure, compute the amount of materials to use, and inspect products for conformity to requirements.
Lift and move materials and products.
Climb and maintain balance.
Work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
Job Qualifications:
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1 year of previous repair/maintenance experience required.
Licenses/Certifications: Technical licenses such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc., are helpful.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to speak and hear.
Close and distance vision.
Frequently lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.
Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk extended distances, lift/carry over 50 lbs, kneel, and stoop repeatedly.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Working near moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
Exposure to loud noises and strong vibrations.
