Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Eligible employees are also able to participate in the fee waiver education program.Job SummaryUnder the general lead direction of one of the Confidential Analysts, the primary purpose of this position is to provide a full range of clerical and administrative support for the Office of Faculty Affairs. Responsibilities are operational and procedural in nature. Assignments include independently completing tasks while using judgment and discretion, in an accurate and timely manner; demonstrating effective and efficient planning, initiative, organization, prioritization, decision-making, and confidentiality skills; interpreting and applying university and college policies, procedures and guidelines; gathering data and preparing standard reports; processing documents / records providing budget support, and financial reporting that involves reconciliation, analysis and projections.Key QualificationsKnowledge of :Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, and standard practices, including principles of customer service.Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.Working knowledge of budget practices and procedures.Ability to :Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collegial work environment.Learn and interpret a wide variety of complex operations and academic policies and procedures and support the mission of the department, school, and university.Work independently and use sound judgment and discretion in establishing effective business processes and meeting deadlines.Education and ExperienceCompletion of a high school program, technical / vocational program, or their equivalents.Equivalent of two years of related office work experience.Experience working in a team-oriented environment.Department SummaryThe Office of Faculty Affairs serves and advises faculty and administration on all matters relating to academic personnel.
