Candidates should have the ability to listen to, understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and to execute the work. The candidate should also have the ability to lead client service teams and mentor junior staff members. Our goal is to provide a variety of experiences that will allow you to learn and understand our practice. Managers will be staffed on engagements where they will have the opportunity to provide an array of program and project management services.Work you'll doYou will have an opportunity to work on a variety of different projects, across many different industries and with colleagues from around the globe. As a Manager in our practice, you will:

Advise clients on all aspects of the capital project delivery and execution process across the entire project lifecycle, including cost and schedule assurance, risk analysis and avoidance, contracting/procurement, data analytics and project governance

Lead and manage teams or workstreams to contribute to the overall project success

Collaborate with client team members to gather and analyze information, prepare potential solutions, and communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders

Provide counseling & coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staff

Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process

Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities and provide input and guidance into the staffing process

Participate in Client relationship development

The I&CP practice is a market leader in delivering solutions related to transactions and business events across the capital asset lifecycle. Our clients are in asset-intensive industries such as oil and gas, power and utilities, technology & media, consumer and industrial products, healthcare, and the public sector. Our professionals, many of whom are architects and engineers with practical industry experience and advanced degrees, provide services through our Project Delivery market offering.These services are delivered across the five primary phases of the capital asset lifecycle (Strategy & Planning, Procurement, Execution & Construction, Operations & Maintenance, and Disposal) and include assessments to capital efficiency, governance structure and process design, contractual compliance, risk management, claims management, project management, and project controls and analytics.Qualifications required:

Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering preferred) or construction management

6+ years of architecture/engineering/construction related experience

Demonstrated experience working on major construction projects

Demonstrated experience in business development, strategic planning, and managing client relationships

Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

Ability to create and deliver client service work that exceeds client expectations

Ability to understand and analyze construction documents

Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Supervising, training, and developing staff on client requirements as well as assessing staff performance

Must be flexible with the potential travel requirements of client service engagements

Preferred:

Master's degree in architecture or engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering preferred) or construction management and MBA

At least one of the following certifications: RA, PE, ASA, PMP, CFA, CFE, CCE or CPA

Proficiency in using Project Management tools, including Oracle Unifier, Procore, Hexagon Ecosys, Kahua, Primavera P6, and Power BI

Experience in a professional services firm

International engagement experience

Multi-lingual

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,445 to $229,075.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
