Description:This role will be supporting commercial and retail locations. This is a customer facing role. Will be brought up to speed with a lead technician from the client within the first week then will be working in teams. Ideal experience within low voltage cabling, Point of sale systems, Break- FixDataTechniciansReview and complete work orders to move, change, install,repair, or remove data communications equipment such as cabling, wires, POS,CCTV, phone systems, computer terminals, audio systems, DVR’s, digital signage,traffic monitoring systems and analytics, people counters, as well as wirelessRF units.Read technical manuals to learn correct settings forequipmentMeasure, cut, splice, and install wires and cables Connectmicrocomputer or terminal to data communication linesDisassembleequipment and inspects and tests wiring to locate and repair problem Modifyequipment in accordance with user requestTest communicationlines to ensure that specifications are metEnter commands into computer to test equipmentRead messages oncomputer screen to verify that data is being transmitted between locationsaccording to specificationsPlan layout andinstallation of data communications equipmentDemonstrate use ofequipmentExperience in cabling (3 years preferred)Phone systems experience (3 years preferred)MUST BE ABLE TOTraveling required – some overnightsAvailable to work evenings, weekends, and overtimeMust maintain avalid Driver’s LicenseTop Skills Details:Low Voltage Wiring, POS ( Point of Sale Systems), CCTV, Audio Visual WiringExperience Level:IntermediateAbout TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
