The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA or “the agency”) connects San Franciscans with their communities to enhance the economy, environment and, ultimately, the quality of life in the city. As an agency within the City and County of San Francisco, the SFMTA is responsible for managing the city’s transportation network. The agency has more than 6,000 employees who are responsible for the management of all ground and some underground transportation in the city. The SFMTA has oversight over public transit, as well as bicycling, paratransit, parking and curb management, street operations, walking, and taxis.
DUTIES: Responsible for leading multiple development projects of complex web and mobile applications that include both front-end and back-end development. Lead the collaboration with the clients and Globant Pods to thoroughly understand the market needs and product/project requirements. Control the representation of the product in the design and development process, ensuring product/project integrity throughout the product life cycle. Plan and define clear view of project scopes and lead estimation efforts of the Globant Pods that could affect the project deliverables. Participate in pre-sales and business development actively seeking new opportunities. Lead sound agile product management/ ownership aspects and tasks such as vision, inception, product strategy, release plan, backlog management, agile requirements, life cycle management and change management. Serve as client advocate, providing expertise to technical and business audiences to help resolve client or team issues as well as highlighting risks. Coach and mentor, follow up, and feedback of team members. Lead thought leadership exercises and suggests opportunities for improvement. Creatively pursue and effectively present win-win scenarios for client, multiple PODs and the company. Bring and bridge the business with dependant business units to develop holistic solutions that drive business value and customer satisfaction. Develop and refine an expertise in subject matter in order to deliver exceptional value to the business. Develop and maintain good relationship with the client, centered in value outcome. Bring disclosure and transparency to the business, fostering trust and alignment. Lead and demonstrates value-add principles to the Globant Pods while keeping things moving in the right direction and creating actionable outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering, IT or closely related discipline (or U.S. equivalency) and three (3) years of experience in the job or as Web UI Developer/Software Designer, UX Designer, Software Engineer or closely related occupations responsible for ensuring the quality, maintainability, and scalability of software applications utilizing User Interface (UI) Design, Front-End Web Development Java and Mobile App Development, Agile Development Methodology, User Experience (UX) Design, Cross-Browser Compatibility, Version Control, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Object Oriented Programming, Restful Web Services, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Code Review and Google Cloud Platform/Development Manager. Must have experience working with the following technologies/tools: HTML, CSS, JavaScript React, Angular, Java, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Agile, Jira, Git, JUnit, Mockito, Jenkins and Docker.
