Saint Francis is also known for outstanding acute burn care emergency medicine acute rehabilitation and a nationally-honored cancer care program.ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the rehabilitation department, including oversight for quality, patient satisfaction, regulatory and billing compliance, business development and all aspects of staff development and employee engagement. May have a specific focus such as Physical, Occupational, and/or Speech Therapy.
Develops annual objectives and evaluates performance to ensure department goals are met, including but not limited to patient satisfaction and turnover; contributes innovative ideas to facilitate and improve patient care, unit operations, and organization; helps set short and long range goals for the department that are aligned with hospital's mission and vision.
Assists in the development of programs and processes that improve the quality of patient care; ensures that patient care units and services are in compliance with The Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations and professional organization standards and that quality control programs are maintained as appropriate.
Administers budgets and oversees staffing productivity to meet strategic objectives; evaluates and ensures cost effective utilization of resources.
Manages the day-to-day operations of the department including interviewing, hiring, developing and retaining personnel; plans and maintains a staffing pattern in the department which provides for the implementation of appropriate patient care in coordination and collaboration with other hospital staff
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of three (3) years of varied clinical experience. Prefer one (1) year of supervisory experience in a rehab setting.
Education Graduation from a school of Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy approved by that discipline's regulatory body.
Licensure Current and active Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy license in the applicable state where employed.
