Provide front desk reception and financial counseling to patients regarding various procedures.
Handle onsite collection of payments at check-in counters for procedures.
Review and verify patients’ insurance information and benefits for services rendered.
Meet with patients to discuss pricing and insurance benefits.
Collect deposit payments from responsible parties prior to procedural services.
Maintain accurate payment information in patient records and communicate with Nurse Coordinator/Finance Team regarding treatment options.
Monitor schedules for cycle starts to ensure availability for deposit collection.
Check patients in and out of their appointments efficiently.
Schedule appointments for patients as needed.
Provide backup phone support for the call center and assist billing team members/front desk personnel as required.
Exhibit strong follow-up and organizational skills.
Perform other duties as needed.

1-2 years of medical office experience.
Familiarity with insurance plans (HMOs, PPOs) and patient financial education.
Experience with payment posting and collections.
Ability to verify benefits and process authorizations.
Significant telephone contact experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork orientation.
Self-starter with excellent organizational and follow-through abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong numerical aptitude.
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
Previous experience with onsite patient collections preferred.
Work Expectations:
Prior medical office experience required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to collaborate with team members, managers, nurses, physicians, and patients.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate; 1-2 years of billing and collections experience preferred.
Previous medical office experience required.
Customer service experience is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
