The Audio/Video Studio Producer is responsible for the quality production of ITP’s online media training programs in the dedicated audio/video studio in the San Francisco office as well as via remote production with authors around the world. This position exercises outstanding operating skills in the use of digital video and audio capture equipment, including but not limited to: studio-configured Sony EX3 cameras, DSLR and mirrorless cameras, color correction, studio routing and patching, server-based ingest devices, studio lighting, PC and console-based lighting boards, teleprompters, file-based media production hardware and software, remote video conferencing systems, and others as needed. Proficiency in Premiere Pro and other video editing workflows, knowledgeable in Adobe image and Microsoft productivity software. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.This role is responsible for the correct usage and maintenance of equipment, safety and security of the studio space and management of sets, hardware and software. Basic site management in coordination with the Facilities department and manager to keep studio properly stocked and maintained.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 4 years of video production experience, including on-location and in-studio camera operation.

Ability to independently operate a control room and studio in order to facilitate productions with multiple studio camera shots, external and internal video feeds, graphics, audio and other content.

Skills/knowledge/abilities

Must be flexible, capable of handling multiple assignments, work well with talent of diverse backgrounds.

Flexibility to alter shifts/days off to accommodate projects and departmental objectives.

Must possess an acute visual sense, strong leadership and developed organizational skills.

OS X and Windows, Adobe Creative Suite including Premier, CatDV, Teleprompter software.

Knowledge of Media Asset Management and Archive systems.

Understanding of how IP networks function and ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.

Demonstrate exceptional communication skills.

A degree in video engineering or communications, video production or related field, preferred.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee and execute all technical aspects and daily operations of in-house audio/video studio production.

Operate studio cameras.

Arrange and adjust lighting as needed.

Maintain studio, control spaces and prop room areas/assets.

Test and troubleshoot equipment functionality, reporting issues and ensuring repairs are made in a timely manner.

Maintain positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management and clients.

Consult with off-site talent on remote production set up for video and live training.

Assist remote talent in setting up home studio equipment using best practice guidelines.

Troubleshoot and evaluate sample quality prior to green-lighting home shoots.

Work closely with team members on production planning and preparation.

Compile shot lists and keep technical logs on studio projects.

Coordinate delivery of dailies to video editing Attend department and team status meeting.

Regularly review and verify shooting schedules and post-production schedules with video production team

Directing and/or technical directing

Confer with and advise project team on look-feel requirements and execute set direction as needed.

Work with on-screen and audio talent to execute performances in accordance with project expectations.

Post-production

Assembly of video and audio projects when necessary to meet deadlines

Quality assurance of edit passes for accuracy and technical requirements
