Job Description

  • Cover in absence of the Program Director by leading staff meeting, making urgent decisions and attending other administrative meeting as needed.
  • Silver Clinic site manager: Manage the day-to-day operation of the Silver site, including assuring facility issues are addressed, supplies are ordered, and the clinical work is supported.
  • Supervisor: Provide supervision to psychiatric social workers and auxiliary staff. Evaluate work performance, complete performance appraisals and assist Director in disciplinary proceedings when necessary. Supervise MSW interns.
  • Intake Coordinator: Overseeing assessment and evaluation for incoming intakes, schedule and triage as necessary. Evaluate and approve requests for assessment/services. Coordinate intake of high need clients referred by Child Crisis, Foster Care Mental Health and ERMHS. Managing case assignment, alongside Director and other supervisors. Take lead in staff meeting regarding intake review. Manage the waitlist.
  • PURQC Committee Member. Participates in weekly PURQC for both clinic sites. Coordinate 6-month PURQC team quarterly. Prepares PURQC Level 2 packets quarterly. Monitors that authorizations are entered, and that clinical staff are sending reminders to clinicians. Closes charts.
  • Senior Clinician. Provides culturally competent services to children, youth and families and utilizes Spanish speaking skills with Spanish speaking families. Demonstrates cultural humility in providing services. Maintain documentation on clients in accordance with CBHS standards
  • Data Compilation and Organization: Preparation of Productivity Reports, and monitoring of data regarding waitlist, intake schedules, caseloads, etc.
  • ERMHS representative and Avatar Champion: Participate and advocate in monthly Avatar calls and quarterly EMRHS meetings and report to staff.
  • Support for Weekly staff meeting, Biweekly Management team meetings, Monthly Supervisors meetings and Monthly Support Staff meetings. Management Team Member: Actively participate in SECFTC Management in planning staff meetings and program development. Support in creating agendas (including Workgroups) and minutes, and meeting facilitation. Coordinates in-service trainings.

Qualifications

Required Do I qualify?

  • License
    • Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS);

      OR
    • Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) , issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS);

      OR
    • Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) , issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
  • Language
    • Ability to pass Spanish proficiency test
  • Experience
    • Two (2) years of verifiable experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
      • With 12 Months clinical experience with children
    • One (1) year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a forty (40) hour work week). Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment. Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirements by the application review date date unless otherwise noted.

  • Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) license
  • At least two years of psychiatric social work experience in an outpatient mental health setting with children and adolescents or in family case work dealing with emotional problems of children and adolescents
  • A minimum of 2 years clinical supervision and/or leadership experience
  • Culturally competent experience working with diverse populations

Electronic Health Record (EHR)
The Department of Public Health (DPH) is implementing a unified Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and DPH employees must demonstrate competency in the use of the system that is appropriate for their classification as a condition of employment.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Some positions in the Department of Public Health will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to gloves, gowns, eye and face protection, and face-fitting respirators. The requirement for the use of PPE may come on short or no notice. Facial hair or any condition that interferes with a face-fitting respirator’s seal (i.e., weakens the seal betweenthe respirator and the wearer’s bare skin) is not permitted when face-fitting respirators are worn, including during initial or periodic respirator fit-testing.

Employees who choose not to shave and do not have either American Disabilities Act (ADA) or Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Accommodations do not have the right to alternate work assignments or the option of using a loose-fitting Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) in place of a Face Fitting Respirator.

Medical Examination
Prior to appointment, at the Department’s expense, applicants may be required to take a tuberculosis (TB) screening test, medical examination, and/or drug test.
