What We NeedWe are looking for a Senior Manager, Consumer Insights to join our dynamic, fast-paced team in San Francisco. In this role, you will be responsible for building out the Consumer Insights function at Tatcha. You will gather and analyze data on consumer preferences, attitudes and behaviors to help the organization make informed decisions about innovation, product development, marketing and commercial strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of both the beauty and personal care market and the beauty and personal care consumer behaviors, with a particular emphasis on US, UK and China trends. You will serve as the bridge between data and actionable insights, connecting the dots to drive efficiency and revenue growth.This role requires strong autonomy, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of the beauty and skincare industry.Each day at Tatcha is different with new problems to solve and tasks to tackle, but here is an idea of some of the things you will work on:

Mining multiple consumer and product software platforms and weaving findings together into big picture macro stories, designing and implementing research initiatives, analyzing market trends, and providing actionable insights to drive brand, product development and marketing strategies.

Serve as the bridge between data and actionable insights, connecting the dots to drive efficiency and revenue growth.This role requires strong autonomy, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of the beauty and skincare industry.

Responsible for all global consumer research.

Interpret data to identify emerging trends in consumer behavior across different demographics and lifestyles, translating them into actionable insights that inform situational analysis, channel and customer strategies, long-term business planning, and innovation.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the company’s products and services meet the needs of our consumers.

The ability to deliver compelling stories that turn complex analysis into impactful business recommendations.

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide proactive insights that inform decision-making processes and help maintain the brand's competitive edge.

Develop and implement a comprehensive consumer research roadmap, ensuring it addresses key business questions and supports critical decision-making processes.

Oversee the design, execution, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative research studies to gain deep insights into consumer behavior, preferences, and trends.

Analyze complex data sets, draw meaningful conclusions, and present findings in a clear and compelling manner to executive leadership, guiding strategic decisions based on consumer-centric insights.

Proficient in statistical techniques (e.g. regression models, clustering, statistical tests etc) and experience in creating statistically robust analyses.

Leverages a variety of data sources to reconcile the insights as well as deliver actionable recommendations

Requirements:

5 + Years of Experience in Marketing & Consumer Insights:

You possess:

Proven Project Management Skills

Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Ability to proactively make recommendations on process improvement and new ways of working

Ambition to learn more, with a curious mindset.

Strong passion for the beauty industry

A strong analytical mindset

You are:

An expert in Market Analysis, Marketing research and utilizing User Experience Testing software.

Proficient in social listening and NPD sales tools like Circana, Nielsen, Tableau, or similar platforms for visualizing and interpreting consumer data.

The Details: The expected base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $145,000.
