Requirements:

  • Require ARDMS in Abdominal and OB/GYN Sonography.
  • Requires previous ultrasound experience.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Graduated from a CAHEEP accredited ultrasound program.
  • Requires (2-5) years UCSF experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent experience.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
  • 5+ to 7 years experience.
  • IDEAL CANDIDATE - NO DEVIATIONS
  • Hospital, pediatrics experience.
  • Ultrasound in areas: OB experience, thyroid, transplant and kidney liver, pancreas, sterile procedures.
  • Team player, motivated, leadership, communication, adaptable.
  • Be open to rotate to different sites and work variable hours. Bayfront will be 8-8pm 7 days a week opening in Aug 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate to other sites and work shifts (8, 10 or 12 hour), also cover for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.
  • Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation:
  • Obtain appropriate patient clinical information from requesting physician and/or service prior to performing exam.
  • Prepare patient for imaging.
  • Prepare room and equipment prior to imaging and after completion of exam.
  • Demonstrate appropriate self-critique of exams to include ability to recognize sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.
  • Meet physical requirements to perform all aspects of diagnostic sonography studies in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings, including but not limited to: performing portable exams, transferring and transporting gurney and wheelchair.
  • Maintain RDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.
  • These positions must be flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.
  • Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school.
  • Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.
  • Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support.
  • Requires (2-5) years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent experience in a similar Ultrasound department at. OR New hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Senior Sonographer skills; the Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.
  • Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.
