This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Jr Architectural or Interior Designer to join our San Jose, CA office. The position requires excellent communication, time management and technical skills as you will work closely with Project Architects and Project Managers developing non-routine and complex design concepts in a manner responsive to the client's needs and deadlines.Accepts specific assignments and develops concepts according to parameters defined by team leader Assures execution of and assists with quality control activities for architectural elements on a project
Reviews drawings, documents and submittals for document compliance and documenting code review and compliance
Keeps teams informed of progress; recognizes problem issues and communicates impact to team
Maintains, organizes and archives all project related documents
Makes an on-going effort to obtain IDP credits so that architectural registration will be achieved
Organizes tasks towards timely completion
Carefully develops and reviews own work for quality and thoroughness
Bachelor or Master’s professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design
1-3 years of experience with corporate interior environments desired
Interest in working on small to large-scale project types in a very collaborative environment
Fluent knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite. AutoCAD a plus
Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Creative and thoughtful thinker. Owns tasks and willingly accepts reponsibilities
Collaborative and effective communicator - both verbal and written
Interest in expanding both design and technical knowledge including building codes and construction detailing
