3 big areas this person will be involved in 2 are big projects and 1 is support. Support: Legacy system called member management system CRM for organizations large number of members like labor union. 2,50000 non teacher employees those member management systems currently uses it is built on Legacy oracle forms on oracle backend. Oracle forms work is complicated. Actual logic database . largely undocumented. People who built it and maintained it are all gone. Trivial knowledge does not exist. Even adding user is complicated and it is largely undocumented they are afraid they might break something. Reverse engineering Experience with Oracle forms and Oracle database. Project 1 (Oracle database developer) Ideal Person-Legacy oracle forms and database and is not current in other technologies. Support work is 20 to 30 % time (Things bear, users ask for things it needs to be done.) overtime it will get less and less. Ultimately this app will be replaced SAAS with real software company it will be fully supported by them. Timeline for that is 6 months for the minimum viable product and 9 months for go live. Data conversion from legacy oracle forms to software as in service. 900 tables legacy forms and figure out data conversion documented structured API software as in service. Some kind of knowledge transfer. This are not complex integration. Data conversion is critical part. Simple as we grant the JDBC access and they are reading data from it. Project 2: Building new public website, third party doing all development on top of Drupal on managed host system Integration back to legacy oracle forms app and then repointing integration to software as in service. This will be relatively simple this will be read only not allow the data to write any codes. Some integration involved there
Must have’s Operating systems: windows, Linux Database Server: oracle 12, SQL Server, MySQL online Database: Interfacing with SQL, MySQL and Oracle (2 out of 3) Well versed in database management systems.
