The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) was formed in late fiscal 2018 through a consolidation of the top data and analytics leaders and practitioners across Operations. The DAO charter is to enable Cisco to compete and win with data. In line with the most progressive industry trends, DAO is endowed with a singular focus and sponsorship around all things data and analytics for the Company. Key disciplines within DAO include Analytics and Data Science, Data Architecture, Master Data Management, and Data Governance.What you will doWe have a critical need for a highly driven, data obsessed SaaS Architect with expertise in Enterprise Data Architecture, end-to-end SaaS business process knowledge, and how data is created, stored, integrated, and used to fulfill stakeholders’ business needs.You will have day-to-day interactions with members across DAO and key leaders from business functions and IT team across Cisco. This is a leadership role, responsible for enabling enterprise data sets for different cross functional SaaS business stakeholders. To be successful in this senior role, you should possess excellent communication skills and be highly proficient in stakeholder engagements.You will have a proven track record of working on strategic priorities from inception to completion. You are motivated, adaptable, with strong time management, project management skills and analytical mindset.Specifically, you will:Be the subject matter expert and thought leader in data management for SaaS business such as (examples only)o Subscription Management (Product Catalog, Billing Accounts, multi-currency, Order & subs, Order Actions, Payment Methods, Provisioning, portals, CRM systems)o Billing Payments (invoices/memos, Payment Gateways, Refunds, Gateway Recon)o Recurring Revenue Metrics and Reporting (Standard/ Custom/Scheduled Reports, Reporting API, Data Exports)o Have experience in integrating Telemetry and Licensing dataApply your proven expertise to integrate SaaS solutions with legacy systems as well as new acquisitionsImplement end to end SaaS business processes and build data products:o Establish single source of truths for key entities with focus on data quality metrics and connectedness of data across functionso Mentor and guide business analysts to implement best in class solutions for SaaS business processes, train and coach junior architects to deliver value in the SaaS business domainInteract with leaders across business and IT functions:o To understand business strategy, define end to end data requirements and deliver efficient and scalable data solutions for the Enterpriseo Create Architecture Runways and Architecture Roadmapso Align to stakeholder and corporate priorities in order to allocate team resources, and monitor deliverables to ensure stakeholder needs are met successfully and in a timely fashiono Identify and manage stakeholder relationships, leverage stakeholders domain expertise, clarify expectations, be a trusted advisoro Facilitate solutioning sessions with key partners to drive the interim/end-state design and plan, determine operational objectives and requirements by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements, and formatso Identify architecture milestones, phases, elements, risks, and establish budgetPossess a high degree of flexibility and ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment; identify and solve complex and ambiguous problems in all areas of business and across boundariesDevelop and coordinate the definition and execution of change management and communication plan and complete an impact assessment, be able to tell a storyDrive Continuous Improvement (e.g. evaluate program progress and results against success metrics; create or re-engineer processes, resources, structure to gain productivity and improve program)Experience with Machine Learning and automation techniques is a plusCandidates with proficiency in Agile and SAFe ® implementations will have an advantageWho You'll Work WithYou'll be working with a team of data architects and engineers while being surrounded by an advanced, fast paced, innovative and passionate organization that is leading efforts to digitize and leverage data in ways it’s never been done before.Who You Are
You are a proven leader with cross-functional expertise in SaaS business domains and understands the business issues faced by Sales, Marketing, Channels, Finance, Customer Success, Engineering, and IT, and can speak their language to partner with stakeholders in these functional groups.The SaaS Architect is also an internal brand evangelist, who communicates DAO’s value, by engaging stakeholders via compelling storytelling to gain their trust and sponsorship.Proficient in data technology, data modeling, data threading, metrics to run a SaaS businessAble to connect with a wide range of audiencesboth executive as well as technical, communicates the essence of complex business and technical issues to executives· Skilled communicator, both verbal and written· Strong presentation skills, experienced facilitator· Can drive working sessions ranging from small to large size audiences (5 to 20 people)Be comfortable in an individual, self-driven role, as well as in a team environmentStrong hands-on project management skills, proficiency in project planning and tracking deliverables, and milestones, highly accountable to deliver on scheduleMust possess strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities, to assess complex problems, analyze options and navigate diverse perspectives and objectivesMinimum Experience:Bachelor's degree in Information Architecture, Information Management, Information and Data Science, Information Studies or a related technical field (4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree) ORMaster's degree in Information Architecture, Information Management, Information and Data Science, Information Studies or a related technical field ORPhD in Information Architecture, Information Management, Information and Data Science, Information Studies or a related technical fieldIf you have a bachelor’s degree, 5 or more years’ experience in information and/or data architecture ORIf you have a master’s degree, 3 or more years’ experience in information and/or data architecture ORIf you have a PhD, 1 or more years’ experience in information and/or data architectureWhy CiscoWe connect everything: people, processes, data, and things.
