Description Robert Half is looking for a Tax Accountant to join our client! The Tax Accountant assists with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. Provide management with information regarding the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations
Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications
Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
Determine legal tax savings and generate ways to improve profits
Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
Assemble tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database
Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring accuracy Requirements - CPA highly preferred
Demonstrated organizational skills
2+ years of public or corporate tax
Great attention to detail
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Must have strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
