Position: Operations Associate will be working on:· Serve as lead of all operations functions for the funds· Prepare daily portfolio reports for Portfolio Manager and Analysts· Maintain accurate record of holdings among funds· Track relevant fund margin information and cash balances· Calculate monthly stock financing balances· Prepare wire instructions for funds transfers and work with prime brokers to reconcile cash receipts· Coordinate with accounting department to ensure all activity is properly recorded and documented· Reconcile activity with fund administrator· Handle all aspects of the trade life cycle: processing, settlement, break reconciliation· Reconcile daily cash, positions, profit and loss· Liaise with Prime Brokers, vendors, fund administrator, trading desk, internal accounting and compliance departments· Coordinate with transfer agents, general counsel, and various parties for settlement of OTC productsRequirements This is a great opportunity to join a growing company with a great executive team.The ideal candidate:
5+ years of experience in trade operations
Knowledge with portfolio reconciliation, pricing options, warrants, etc.
Strong communication skills; Strong attention to detail
Excellent in Excel – they do macros and complex formulas. They have a programmer but this person needs to understand macros/complex formulas
Huge plus if they have fund accounting/fund operations knowledge
Culture fit: someone who’s smart, self-starter, self-motivated, takes ownership (with minimal supervision), excellent communicator, ability to take feedback well
Hours: 630am – 3pm
