General Description:The Sr. Director, Global Publications and Scientific Communications is an important leadership role on the Scientific Communications team. Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Publications and Scientific Communications, the individual will lead and develop the Hematology Publication team and provide publications expertise and insight into the development and execution of Global Publication Plans for hematology. This is a remote-based role with direct reports.Essential Functions of the Job:

Lead, coach, and mentor the Hematology Global Publications Team within Scientific Communications.

Lead the development and execution of Global Publication Plans for hematology and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure timely development of high-quality publications related to BeiGene data.

Build relationships with authors, journal editors, and congress personnel.

Create strategies for digital and enhanced publication content.

Partner with regional leadership to ensure publication needs at the local/regional level are incorporated into the Global Publication Plans.

Optimize internal publication processes and continuously benchmark capabilities against the highest industry standards.

Oversee the publication budget, allocate resources, and manage external agencies for hematology.

Lead the development of scientific platforms for BeiGene hematology products in close collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Computer Skills: Efficient in Publication databases (e.g., Envision, Pubstrat), Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, and OutlookTravel: Work related travel approximately 20% (domestic and international)Education:

PhD, PharmD or advanced post-graduate scientific degree (MS)

Other Qualifications and Experience:

5+ years managerial experience within Scientific Communications or Medical Affairs at a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company or agency.

Proven experience leading teams responsible for developing communication strategies aligned to Medical Affairs plans and priorities.

Prior experience as a medical publication professional developing and executing strategic publication plans with in-depth knowledge of the standards and guidance documents critical to ethical publication development (e.g., GPP 2022, ICMJE).

Ability to critically analyze complex data and communicate these data across different audiences.

Broad knowledge of the drug development process, with a focus on integrated strategic publication planning.

Understanding of enhanced publication content, digital/omnichannel strategies, and AI.

Strong understanding of the regulatory environment impacting pharmaceutical industry.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation, collaboration, and people skills.

Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to develop innovative approaches and solutions to business needs, including development and execution of multi-channel and omnichannel strategies.
